NOT the quick-fix upgrade I was expecting :-( DO READ THIS before ordering
Girling part no WW26150. Bought from the NOC shop.  Fitted to a 1973 750cc Roadster.
This floating disk is mounted on 9 bobbins which are approx 20mm diameter and 11.8mm wide.  The bobbins are on such a large pitch circle diameter that they foul the standard brake caliper (internal slot width c10.6mm) and prevent the wheel from turning.
Further more, the locating tabs on the brake pads protrude downwards to the bottom of the caliper body, and these will also foul on the bobbins when the pads wear sufficiently that the backing plates are less than 12mm apart.  The disk rotor is 6.6mm thick, so the pads will be unusable  while still having 2.6mm of pad material on each, (assuming even wear).  Given that the friction material is c6mm on a new pad, this means that the pad will have to be changed while only half worn in order to avoid metal to metal contact between the brake pads and bobbins.
To fit this Disk to a standard disk-braked Commando, you would have to cut away the bottom of the brake caliper on the inner side to clear the bobbins and also shorten the brake pad locating tabs sufficiently to clear them.
There is no indication on the product listing, or its packaging, that this part is NOT compatible with the stock Norton/Lockheed caliper.  I feel strongly that there should be!
